THESE LITTLE ART PIECES ARE COLLAGES AND SKETCHES FROM MY LITTLE CLOSET IN MY HOME. I SET UP A LITTLE DESK WITH SIMPLE SUPPLIES. DURING THE YOUNGER CHILDREN'S REST TIME, I WILL GO BACK TO MY LITTLE PLACE AND CREATE THINGS THAT ARE IN MY HEART. THIS IS ALL NEW. IT GOES TO SHOW THAT ONE IS NEVER TOO OLD OR TOO BUSY TO DISCOVER A HIDDEN INTEREST OR GIFT. MY HEART IS TO BLESS OTHERS WITH REST, HOPE AND PEACE THROUGH MY NEW FOUND ABILITY.

Lakeside

The photo above was taken of my parent's deck at Lake Greenwood, S.C. They live right on the lake. And from this beautiful deck is a glorious view of the water.

This sketch was difficult so I know a lot of the proportions are off. However, I thought I would give it a shot. I love sitting in the swing and looking at the lake. I cannot wait to go there and sit in that swing again one day.

Hospitality

When I think of hospitality, I think of my mother. She worked very hard when my brother and I were growing up to make our home a place of comfort. She had a way of making our home feel cozy. It was not in the fancy things, but in the simple things she did. She still carries that gift today and shares it with others.

Pouring into the lives of our loved ones is the best form of hospitality. Hospitality comes from the word hospice which means hospital. It is a practice of inviting the weak and hurting into a haven where they can find peace and rest. I was blessed to be raised in that kind of home. Happy Mother's Day Momma!
