THESE LITTLE ART PIECES ARE COLLAGES AND SKETCHES FROM MY LITTLE CLOSET IN MY HOME. I SET UP A LITTLE DESK WITH SIMPLE SUPPLIES. DURING THE YOUNGER CHILDREN'S REST TIME, I WILL GO BACK TO MY LITTLE PLACE AND CREATE THINGS THAT ARE IN MY HEART. THIS IS ALL NEW. IT GOES TO SHOW THAT ONE IS NEVER TOO OLD OR TOO BUSY TO DISCOVER A HIDDEN INTEREST OR GIFT. MY HEART IS TO BLESS OTHERS WITH REST, HOPE AND PEACE THROUGH MY NEW FOUND ABILITY.

Solitude



I love solitude even though it is rare in my home.
Maybe that is why I appreciate stillness.
I also love the coast.
So I am relating to this peaceful pelican
who is very still, very content.
Resting in his little hiding place
Amongst the salty ocean fragrance
Unseen behind the marshy screen
Of the coastal gardens.
Solitude!

Girlie Stuff



I started out sketching the little girl with folded hands but this is how it turned out. It is funny how sometimes your hand takes you in a different direction.It is kind of like a hidden gift waiting to be revealed. One of my words was cut off on the scanner. However, it says,

Ruffles and Ribbons,
Presents and Purse,
Sashes and Satin,

I Will Be Back!

I just wanted to apologize to those of you who keep checking here to find a new sketch Honestly I have had a good bit of morning sickness and just have not spent any free time doing anything but sleeping. However, I am beginning to feel much better and hope to start back sketching soon. Please keep checking back. I appreciate your encouragement and for viewing my sketches.
