THESE LITTLE ART PIECES ARE COLLAGES AND SKETCHES FROM MY LITTLE CLOSET IN MY HOME. I SET UP A LITTLE DESK WITH SIMPLE SUPPLIES. DURING THE YOUNGER CHILDREN'S REST TIME, I WILL GO BACK TO MY LITTLE PLACE AND CREATE THINGS THAT ARE IN MY HEART. THIS IS ALL NEW. IT GOES TO SHOW THAT ONE IS NEVER TOO OLD OR TOO BUSY TO DISCOVER A HIDDEN INTEREST OR GIFT. MY HEART IS TO BLESS OTHERS WITH REST, HOPE AND PEACE THROUGH MY NEW FOUND ABILITY.

Here is another quick sketch I did last night. I am trying to experiment with a lot of different things just to see if "I can do it". I am so new to all of this but hope to keep practicing whenever I have snippets of extra time.

Through Your Eyes

I AM A CHILD ONCE AGAIN. AND THE WORLD IS SIMPLE.... THROUGH YOUR EYES.

RUNNING FREELY FINDING SIMPLE PLACES. DISCOVERING LIFE'S TREASURES.... THROUGH YOUR EYES.

STOPPING TO NOTICE THINGS MOST WOULD NOT BOTHER WITH. THERE IS DELIGHT THROUGH YOUR EYES.

ONCE AGAIN I AM REMINDED LIFE IS WORTH LIVING.... THROUGH YOUR EYES.

MAY I NEVER FORGET TO LOOK THROUGH YOUR EYES. FOR HOPE LIVES THROUGH THEM. STRENGTH IS FOUND IN THEM. AND LOVE IS CAPTURED.....THROUGH YOUR EYES.

Gratitude

Father,
My heart cannot contain all of the gratitude
I have for You.
Thank you for all You went through.
Thank you for all you endured.
Your pain is unfathomable.
Your grief deeper than I can imagine.
How can anyone love like that?
How?
My mind cannot hold this thought.
But I want to tell You
That I am so glad You gave Yourself
In the most extravagant way anyone could give.
Incredible You are
Oh King Of glory.
Incredible You are!

Your Daughter.

Simple Then

I have been thinking so much lately about the things I loved when I was a little girl even up into adulthood. Things were simple then. If we could learn to recapture the treasures that were simple then, life would be much more fulfilling and free. I did these new sketches on larger paper so I had to photograph them. They do not show up as well. They are too big for the scanner. I am thinking of making a series of four with these to frame in black frames and hang in a group.
I loved to rock as a little girl. My mother rocked me a lot when I was a baby. I loved to rock as a teenager and still love to rock my little ones.

Cornered with Care!

This Corner Cupboard has been in my family for many years. It is over 100 years old. When my grandmother passed away, my parents had it refinished. However the natural beauty was preserved. Under the shelving are burn marks from when candles were set inside of the cupboard in the evenings.
Now here is my little sketch of the cupboard. I enjoyed the challenge and think my grandmomma and granddaddy would smile if they could see it!
